Serbian Chamber of Commerce hosted the Third International EUROMED Invest Academy

Serbian Chamber of Commerce hosted the Third International EUROMED Invest Academy “Cooperation – complementarity between the Southern Mediterranean and the Western Balkans”. The Academy is part of a three-year regional project EUROMED Invest (, aimed at promoting investments and business partnerships in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

The project is funded by the European Commission, MedAlliance consortium , Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur region, and the city of Marseille. The project “EUROMED Invest” with a budget of five million euros is one of the major European programs intended to strengthen the private sector, increase investment and MSPD partnership in the Euro-Mediterranean region, and the overall economic development of the region. Euro Med Invest Academy is focused on the development of business and investment opportunities in the countries of the Southern Mediterranean and Western Balkans. It offers an informal, stimulating and international environment encouraging further development and networking of the organization involved in business support and exchange of experiences and best practices.

More than 18 countries participated in the Academy such as the countries of the Southern Mediterranean, European Union, the Western Balkans and Turkey (Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia, Montenegro, Macedonia , Serbia and Turkey).

Cluster FACTS participated in the Euro Med Invest conference in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce from 25/03/2015 to 27/03/2015 and it had the opportunity to present its work within the session 2b Business Matchmaking to the representatives of the Euro Mediterranean zone. At this important conference, Cluster FACTS recognized its interest in the part which concerns the exchange of experiences and involvement in certain project activities which Euro Med undertakes in relation to the textile and creative industries. The delegation of Egypt expressed its interest to cooperate with Cluster FACTS regarding the possible organization of B2B meetings with their textile industry. In addition, the cooperation with Technologic Park from Slovenia is now possible with a view to establish a partnership on EU projects.
